Costa Coffee, Milton Keynes

This project involved recovering an existing stainless steel frame for Costa Coffee inside Milton Keynes’ Midsummer shopping arcade. Shades of Comfort were requested to design, supply and install bespoke covers in the latest design specification to form giant umbrella type structures.

Unlike our usual canopies, this product was to be used inside so had to meet certain other criteria such as The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988. Each cover also has a reinforced top section to act as a cap and grooves cut into the valance sections to accommodate the bars that connect the framework together. The covers are fixed to the framework with straps and Velcro tabs to ensure a secure fit.
