Awnings provide an efficient practical means for shelter of areas adjacent to buildings and walls.  They are particularly useful on the front elevation of buildings opening out onto pavements of areas with restricted space.

Shades are able to offer a wide range of canvas retractable awnings and would be happy to survey and install with our own engineers.  With many frame and fabric colors to choose from we can provide you with the awning to suit your requirement.

Fixed framed awnings and free-standing double awnings can also be supplied where needed.

We also supply a range of accessories giving extra protection and durability, together with heat and lighting solutions.

Heating and lighting solutions are essential in making the most of your outdoor areas by maximising the comfort of your  customers.

Effective heating and lighting systems offer customers the ability to extend their outdoor trading hours with the particular emphasis on smoking areas, which can be used all-year-round. 

Crucially our low energy fluorescent lights and high output infrared heaters offer efficient heating targeted toward people rather than energy wasted on heating the surounding area.

These heaters can be mounted on walls, steel frames, timber frames or the integral framework of giant parasols. In the case of the latter, our heating systems are totally integrated allowing umbrellas to be opened and closed with all heaters and lights in remaining in place.

We also have an addition to our range – the free standing Deluxe Zeus Patio Heater. This unique product to Shades combines the use of both heating and lighting providing the perfect solution.

The easy and fast assembly time ensures the Pavilion can be in place and ready for use, compared to other solutions, in a much shorter space of time.

As it is built in the required amount of modules, there is no limit to the size of the Pavilion which allowing you to extend with ease in the future.

Manufactured to the highest quality, our parasols are available in both aluminium and wood. As standard plain or they can be supplied with graphics printed but this is an ever increasing option that is chosen with the benefit of not having a minimum order.  

As our parasols are available in a variety of styles, shapes, sizes and colours these parasols are a welcome feature to any garden.

To make your life easier, all live plant displays come complete with a self-watering system and plant specific Care Sheets.  For added visual impact all plant displays come complete with a weed-suppressing top-dressing, and should you have an area where you believe live plants won’t survive, simply ask about our range of weather-resistant replica plants. 

Should you want the beauty of live plant displays without the responsibility to maintain them, our Nationwide Maintenance Service provides a professional, hassle-free solution.  We will even replace any dead or dying plants free of charge!

Our fully weatherproof IPX5 rated TV enclosures are built to last. Originally designed for use in the Prison system they are the most robust unit available in the UK market.  Set yourself up for a fantastic summer of sport! 

All units are fitted with a thermostat, fan and heater which keep the TV inside running at its optimal level for best viewing. A 6mm anti glare polycarbonate screen; the same used for police riot shields protects the front of the unit along with two key locks.

Permanent Tensile Structures are used in numerous applications for outdoor covered space.  Whether it is to cover a play area in a school, a patio area at a pub, restaurant or hotel, a café area at a theme park, sports club or motorway services, there will be a canopy in our range to suit your application.

The benefits of installing a canopy structure are that you can enjoy the outdoor environment all year round regardless OF WIND, RAIN OR SUNSHINE. They are designed to provide shade and all weather protection and therefore ideal for the UK climate.

Our structures are available in standard modular sizes and are ideal for permanent or temporary installations. Our canopy structures are manufactured in galvanised and powder coated steel and feature a unique guttering system. The canopies are 100% UV resistant, waterproof, and fire retardant and have anti-fungicidal properties.

We also manufacture structures to special sizes and designs.

It's arrived...Shades' are pleased to introduce our new Tensile Umbrella - renowned for its exceptional strength and durability. With a variety of modular units from 3m upwards, all as standard with integral guttering, this UK manufactured Tensile Umbrella is both stylish and practical. Providing shelter and protection in exposed sites from our sometimes harsh and unpredictable weather, it is ideal for areas where year round cover is desirable.

The 304 grade stainless steel frame is made for strength with a 76mm mast, and if installed into a concrete foundation will withstand very high winds - in fact, it has been tested to beaufort scale force 11 - that's 103-117 km/h!

With a high tension canopy manufactured using Ferrari 502 PVC, our Tensile Umbrella is waterproof, fire retardant and available in 40 colour options. It is available in a 2.8m square model and a 4.2m square model, and can be fitted with integrated heating. Fitting options offer flexibility for your individual needs - the Tensile Umbrella can be fitted into a concrete in-ground base, a deck mount, or can be left freestanding. Prices include VAT!

Shades' Robust Terraced Awning - the latest addition to our ever expanding portfolio of innovative products - is able to offer all year round protection from the elements, with the option of retractable front and sides creating a totally enclosed area. In fact, these super-strength units are installed in the harshest environments, having been tested to Beaufort Scale 10 (88-102km/h). No other retractable cover offers the versatility of this product.

Available in many sizes, the Robust Terraced Awning has a fully retractable PVC canopy, which at the touch of a button can be extended to provide shelter, or retracted to take advantage of the good weather. Due to the high tension PVC fabric the canopy offers a flat surface that guarantees the discharge of rain water.

The frame work can either be high strength aluminium or lamellar pine wood, the PVC cover manufactured with specific dimming qualities for total protection against the sun and the rain.

The maximum dimensions in one unit are 5.5m width x 7m projection, with the ability to link units up to 11.8m width x 7m projection. Integrated heating and lighting can be fitted, and fitting options are varied - with Wall Fitting, Goal Post Fitting and Front and Side Screens. PRICES INCLUDE VAT!
