Hi everyone,
My name is Pat Evans and I am the Financial Director for Shades of Comfort (that’s me in the picture on the right). On the 15th October 2009, I will be taking up a very special challenge with a close friend Hilary, who is the real Inspiration behind this as her Mother has once survived Breast Cancer but sadly it has now returned and also her sister is undergoing treatment at present for this terrible disease.
I am travelling to Beijing to take part in Breast Cancer Care’s ‘Trek China 2009’. This fundraising trek will involve trekking for six days. I will be walking for a total of up to eight hours per day which will be very strenuous. I shall be passing through ancient watch towers, walking along the wall, as well as passing through local communities, farmlands and countryside. This means I have to get fit, so I now have a comprehensive training plan to follow.
I have committed to raise £3250 in sponsorship and I need your help to reach my fundraising target. It is not easy asking people for support If you are able to help, please visit my website where you can make a secure payment. Don’t forget every penny counts... Thank you for considering my appeal, I know I am asking a lot, but with everyone’s help Breast Cancer Care can continue to provide services for those having to face up to a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Yours sincerely
Pat Evans
Shades of Comfort have chosen to help support
Breast Cancer Care (charity no 1017658) as we feel that is a very worthy cause and I dare say there is not one person that has not been touched by Cancer in their life at some point. Breast Cancer Care is the UK's leading provider of information, practical assistance and emotional support for anyone affected by breast cancer. Every year it responds to over two million requests about breast cancer or breast health concerns through its website, confidential helpline, publications, one-to-one support and health promoting activities, all of which are offered free.
