Our Business

Shades of Comfort Limited were formed in 2005 by Tony Peters and Barrie Evans to provide outdoor solutions following the smoking ban to Pubs and Restaurants. The Company has expanded rapidly servicing many major groups such as Whitbread, Enterprise Inns, Admiral Taverns, St Austell Brewery’s, Young’s, together with theme parks, notably Drayton Manor Park with a unique Pavilion for their Thomas the Tank Area. Shades are particularly pleased to be given sole provider for umbrellas and awnings for Costa Coffee.

Shades product range started with us providing umbrellas to Pubs and Restaurants and as our customers confidence in us grew they started sourcing, screens, terrasols, garden and patio furniture, heaters, lighting and electric systems, wooden decking, pavilions and wood structures, which goes to show our flexibility and philosophy – sourcing the latest and most innovative products in the market place

Shades have seen a maturing market place in the last year as the customers we serve now start to go across all market sectors, Blue Chip Companies, Councils, Government Bodies, Utility Companies provide outdoor facilities for all their employees, also large organisations such as Theme Parks, Zoos, Hospitals, Stately Homes, Leisure Chains, Shopping Centres and Museums are showing a keen interest in the services we provide, in the UK and other countries, what is it people say, ‘The Great Outdoors.’
