Established in 2004 the company was formed by the existing two Directors, Mr Barrie Evans and Mr Tony Peters, to provide outdoor smoking solutions to the leisure industry.

Mr Evans’ vast experience within the Engineering sector, particularly in manufacture and design, allowed them to build Shades into one of the UK’s leading suppliers.

Combined with Mr Peter’s Business Development background, Shades has developed into a successful and established company providing a diverse range of products from patiolas, awnings and umbrellas of all sizes through to heating & lighting only to achieve the perfect outdoor solution.

As we design to our customer’s objectives, parts are either sourced from Mr Evans’ own Manufacturing company or are imported from countries such as Germany, Holland and Italy. We are then able to modify any element to cater for our customer’s needs not only ensuring each product’s ability to be bespoke but that it is also produced from the highest quality of materials.
